Glad to see more warmups. First time back on the sketchbook after a while because I have been working on getting better at digital. I was wondering, would these exercises help on tablet?
Thanks a ton for looking over my mole, I will work on improving the line quality and contour in the future. I feel like the lines is my biggest issue right now.
is anyone else finding making tapered lines difficult? I feel that when I try and slow down so that it gets darker in the middle the lines becomes sloppier, but if I try and do a quicker and more confident line then it is usually uniform in its darkness

I took a second try at this project, making the "final" drawing much bigger than last time.
honestly think I might try giving the mole another crack, spending more time studying the references to get a better end result.

Well I do look forward to trying to draw characters. The whole reason I got into drawing a couple years ago was to learn how to draw characters, so I think learning a bit of that here will be nice

Thanks for the classmate who uploaded the cat's photo to #14 days challenge#. Sorry I can't remember your name. Your cat photo is so funny, I couldn't help myself drawing a picture for him or her.

While I wouldn't really consider myself level 2, this assignment looked really fun so I decided to have a go at it. I used a mole because it's facial features are more or less just a snout and a mouth, and I think they look kind of funny.

Alright I got around to doing the level 1 images. I am a bit happy with how the hand turned out at the proportions didnt seem too far off. As for the penguin I am not 100% sure, but with the girl and that circle thing I fell back into using the hairy lines so I am not super happy about that.

The warming-up exercises. Guess I’ll repeat those before drawing from imagination next time. I used a see -through frame with a six box drawing to help with proportions. The oval is off, because of my standing position it was harder.

A ronin frog that haunts gloating artist and carries their bad drawings on his back. With his special right eye he can see all of your structural errors underneath your shading. On his belly he got the kanji "shame" tattooed
I'm trying to practice tapered strokes right now, and I am noticing that most of the time my lines get darker towards the end instead of lightening up. But when I deliberately try to vary the pressure of the pencil the line gets wobbly and too dark overall. The quicker lines tended to be the same level of dark throughout. Should I focus more on speed, or am I supposed to plan more in putting the pencil down lightly, increasing pressure, then making lighter as I finish?

I know this is not directly related to the subject at hand, but I wanted to ask: when you are learning the fundamentals like gesture, construction, or perspective, is it better to try it on paper or on digital? I ask because I recently got a digital tablet for my birthday and I find that though comparing the references to my drawings is easier, actually making the lines and navigating clip studio paint is pretty difficult. So I was wondering if it would be better to focus practicing on paper for a while longer then coming back to digital, or to keep trying at digital right now even if the progress is much slower.

Thank you stan for all the effort.
My submission did appear while stan was scrolling, And I couldn't stop thinking about Mike Wazowski 😂 I tried to sketch it also with CSI

After the critique video, I decided to go back and try drawing the snail using csi lines. I think it went ok? I still find it hard to draw straight lines though.

Tried the camel. I don't really draw animals, so I gave this one a try.

honestly though that does look really good. You got the box on the floor and everything for the perspective and placement

you know thinking back on it I think I could use some more work on the simplification. I think I'll give the snail a try, and maybe some other objects online.

Day 14, decided to re draw my desk lamp because it is made of simple shapes and I wanted to see if there was any kind of improvement.

day 11, I tried to draw my headphones case. It was really hard to get the right angle for the top plane (a bit like last time). Does anyone have experience drawing objects in perspective from real life? I've practiced 1 and 2 point but I find it doesn't really help me all that much when I am trying to draw something tilted in real life.
