hi, I have done my best for this portrait. give me sun feedback please .what things I need to focus on.

You did great in lining up the features on the same horizontal tilt. It looks like you are thinking about the alignment of the features and that is great! Focus now on getting the correct tilt of the head by running a line through the pupils for example to see that angle of tilt. Your head tilt is off but you lined up the features all together which is good. Just focus on getting the tilt correct before lining up all the features together. That will help a lot. After that make sure to measure the thirds of the face. Her bottom third is too long in relationship to the middle and top third of the face. Hope that helps!

Hi Vengat, Joao has some made some great points you should take note of! I'll also say that even before value in importance however, is proper attention to the drawing. Great values can't make up for wrongly placed and proportioned shapes. Be sure to take note of the angles of features in your reference and make sure your understanding them correctly! For instance, her eyes are shooting off at a different angle than her mouth/nose/chin/brow. Take note of the distances between those features as well. The face is typically divided into close 3rds, those being the hairline to the brow ridge, the brow ridge to the bottom of the nose, and the bottom of the nose to the chin. You have her hairline/brow and brow/nose 3rds accurately measured, but have given her a significantly big chin! And that then throws off whe placement and size of her mouth. So always always always make sure you have the placement and proportion of the elements of your drawing correct, even if it takes you several attempts!

Nice effort, Vengat. Right now, I feel that what you should focus more is in value and structure. Although the proportions are not spot on (bottom third is too big and there's a few mistakes here and there), they're in an acceptable range size-wise. However the light/dark arrangement is too flat. The hair stands out but the rest is too similar in value. I think that you're starting to understand the forms but you're unsure of how dark or light things should be in relation to each other. I would like to advise you to really study how light works. Pay close attention specially in separating the light from dark (2 value stage of the drawing). That's what's gonna carry the most the illusion of form. Familiarize yourself with your tools also. Know how much dark your pencil can get and which values you can extract out of it. I think maybe the jaw/chin and nose are too heavy for a lady.

I first want to highlight what I like about this drawing, which is that it feels alive. When I look at his eyes, it feels like an actual person looking at me. So I would say the eye area is is the best part of the drawing :) As for critique: I agree with @squeen about the proportions, and that finding the underlying structure of the head and the perspective before starting to define and shade it is a good approach. Having an understanding of the 3D forms will help you in every step of the drawing and also makes it easier to create simplified shadow shapes for shading. Also practice making the linework smoother and more coherent. Right now the pen pressure seems a bit jumpy in the shadow/tonal areas.

I think the proportions are off for the mouth and neck. Try focusing on the underlying 3D forms as Stan suggests---it helped me a lot.
