Assignment 1, great exercise, I got a bit lost when trying to decipher the lighter shadows from the darker midtones. I also got into trouble while putting in the shadows for the cast shadows and the lighter shadows around the cheek bones. Also, I wasn't sure if we were supposed to do a lay-in for this, but maybe its just best to always do a lay in? Thanks for taking a look and a read!

Great lesson! This session's focus on shading and shape helped it click that the focus is often to think about the planes of a 3d object. Here's an ear. Would love any and all feedback :)

Front view of head. The features are coming out a bit mechanical but that might just come with time.

Side plane drawing 1. The lips sit between the nose and the chin 1/3 away from the nose, correct?
