Haven’t watched the video yet - had too much fun with the assignment.

At first I did the assignment with a pencil, but then I got a bit carried away and redid all the pencil marks with ink and added a bit of watercolor on top. The hardest part was the twisting of the laces. They feel more like ribbons instead of laces with thickness. Following a similar line, very close to it, but slightly different was definitely tough.

Did it before looking at Stan’s demo. It’s a humbling experience — to learn how much you still have to learn. Also, I think I need to upgrade my paper. It was really fighting against the Conte pencil.

First time try. Used some Filo plastilina and a wooden knife.
