One little sketch is all I could muster. Had fun though.

Hi Rembert! How important would you say sketchbooking from life is compared to all the other fundamentals you can always study? Would you say 50/50? Or something different? Thanks!

Hey there! I'm just curious, how many hours did you start to put into your art practice daily before it started to really "click" for you? I'm trying to teach myself and I want to get a good daily habit going that lets me see real improvement sooner than later. Thanks for any tips and keep going with the amazing content. Can't wait for the new art book I read through the first two in a matter of days!

Scott, just finished going through your character design course here on Proko. How many pages would a beginner at art have to put down of little designs to see some substantial progress? Also, are you adding more to that course and if so, when can we look forward to the next part?

Also, would you recommend using reference for the ideation process? Because I feel like I'm just ripping you off, doing the Pumpkin guys and kind of wanna come up with my own IP ideations... To do so though, I'm not good enough to pop figures out of my head without reference. Even the little thumb nails... or is part of the point to train your imagination? Even with figures. Hopefully this makes sense. I kind of just spat it out.

Alrighty Scott. SUPER excited to be here. Just jotted this down in five seconds, whilst watching your live stream via Youtube. Don't mind my son's beautiful dragon. But this is my first rendition of our beloved Harvester. I bought your premium too and will be uploading my sheets full soon. This is just the first of many. A preview. Can't wait!

There's just no stopping the chaos. Every time I start a page. I start another... Be gentle. Too many cool ideas. This one was digital.

Alright. This is becoming a giant collection of different sheets... apologies. But, between my son drawing with me and my busy schedule, it is how it is coming. So here is two more. The second one with the tons of writing is going to be finished tonight at some point. Just wanted to give an update. Thoughts all?

Damn it, I was trying to procrastinate and play video games. This is drawing me in... Here's a quick update. And then tomorrow I will do some real sheets. Funner than you would think.

I'm looking over the edge and about to jump off into full blown commitment to my art. I would love nothing more than transitioning from writing fantasy into Illustrating/writing books and children's books. Any advice for a new artist about to make the plunge? I know they're no shortcuts in life but in your honest opinion what would the best way to go about this be if I want my skills to skyrocket over the next year? Thank you and keep making amazing art!

Question. How many hours a day did you draw for the year before you became pro? Thanks!

Hey Stephen! As a new artist here. Would you say YouTube is a good idea early on? Or wait until my skills improve?

Thank you for the answer. I thought about it and honestly have come to the conclusion that I'm not here for the views and my personality is not right for YouTube. I want to create the stories and characters and worlds. And if the world loves them too, all the better. I'm a little nervous that I won't take off without social media like YouTube backing me, but it's most definitely the route meant for me. Thank you all again. Your perspectives freed me to continue my art journey in the right direction.
