Here is my work for the competition. My first go at sculpting the whole figure, I didnt have a metal support so I made a wooden one which made things intersting as it started to bend half way through. Lots of amazing works entered good luck everyone. Matt

Here's my entry, ran out of time, but what a great way to consolidate what I have learnt and what I need to go back and review. Was my first time trying the hangman stand and I did really like it, my sculpture has wandered and in one profile now looks like it is tipping forward so shall keep on sculpting this one to see where I can get to. Thanks Andrew and posespace for the free poses. (there is a video turnaround on Instagram @thesculptorsinsight )

So proportions, whether choosing Hale of Richer I wonder where that half head or half cranium goes. In short people who appear to have long torso's and short legs, is it the half way great trochanter that is lower and then in people with long legs its higher reducing the unit length of the torso. Is it the pelvic region that is varying between half and one head height? How does the less high and wider women's pelvis affect the unit proportions when working from life models or models who appear to have large heads compared to there torsos? Just wondering how others adjust the generic proportions to fit working from life models?
