2021/12/5. Good evening everyone. Here is my first ever charcoal portrait. I finished it in 4 hours. I thought Conte was tough, but coal is even more difficult to control. I discovered a completely new approach to drawing. I think it is very useful for learning to express the essence of the subject without going into detail. I want to practice more (paper: Archer MBM 65x100 cm). Thanks.

2021/11/29. Good morning everybody. Here's my assignment for this section. I used the reference Stan provided for the lesson on the hand bones (you can see the gesture is similar to the one on the video above but not the same). I proceeded starting with the gesture and then establish the main proportion, the primary, secondary and tertiary forms. Thanks and have a good week.

2021/11/24. Good morning everybody. Here's a preparatory study I'm doing for my new illustration. I think I drew her a little too long (too much distance between the breast and the shoulder?). Do you guys see any other mistakes or something I should be careful about? Thanks and have a good day.

Hi. This is my first assignment. Made with FB polychromos indian Red. Much better than graphite pencils (at least for me).

2021/11/23. Good afternoon everybody. I post my latest work here but I want to clarify that from the beginning I did not think of it as an anatomy study. Rather, it is meant to be a rendering exercise. Thank you and good day.

2021/11/16. Good morning everybody. I missed the angle of the rib cage again. It’s too bent forward. It must be more straight. The pelvis box turns too much toward her left side.

Love it. Lines, gesture, proportions. This is exactly the way I would like to draw my mannequins. Can I ask u a couple of. I usually practice mannequinization once a week and I usually draw it with graphite.I noticed that you use digital. Is there a specific reason? The second question is do you stylize a reference model or draw from imagination? Thanks Simeon! And great job!!

2021/11/12. Good evening everyone. I need your help. I would like to make the torso and breast area of the she-devil more three-dimensional. And the nun's back also feels too flat to me. Also I would like to increase the sense of depth of the background by creating the effect of distance from the two bodies. Thank you very much and good night.

My assignment for the first hand lesson, took a couple failed attempts to get in the right mindset to do this but got there eventually and pleased with the results. First image is before watching the examples, second is studies from the examples. Any CC welcome.

2021/11/10. Good afternoon everyone. Here's my second attempt for this assignment. The area around the first phalange of the pinky (between the metacarpal and the first phalange) looks empty... I should defined it better. Thanks.

2021/11/10. Good morning everybody. Here's my warming-up exercise for today. 60 min. Upside down figure drawing. I've chosen Stravinskij's portrait by Picasso. It's incomplete because according to Betty Edwards book, "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain", this exercise must be done in 40/60 mins. It was very funny! Thanks and have a good day.

2021/11/27. Good morning everybody. Here's my second attempt of this section assignment. This time I tried to soften the core shadows and make the planes changes more gradual. Sine I couldn't design the halftones of the carpal area correctly I imitate Stan's solution. The only thing I’m not really convinced about, is the area between the first dorsal interosseous and thumb below. It looks like the muscle shape doesn't pop out correctly. I'd like to hear @Jesper Axelsson's opinion. What do you think Sir? Of course it's not a masterpiece but I think that compared to the first attempt this one represents a dramatic improvement. Thanks to anyone would contribute with suggestions or advices. Have a good day.

2021/11/8. Good evening everyone. Here’s my mannequinization exercise. Finding the exact angle of the rib cage has been a little hard. And I think that it must be turned more to right. Thanks.

2021/11/8. Good morning everyone. Here's my second attempt of this assignment. I softened the core shadows and add some halftones around them to make the forms appear rounder. As Stan did in his video I've left the left area of the hand undefined and added strong outlines only around the the shapes on the right side to make the viewer eyes been caught by that zone. Though there still is room for improvement I think I can say that compared to the first attempt this one is much better. Thanks and have a good week.
