Here are heads 11-19. Same thing. There are multiple images of the same photo because I'm trying to show process. I had a particular problem with 18. I had trouble with the photos with the dark background. Next time, I will just print out the head and use the printout as a guide.

Here are heads 1-10. I'm sorry for so many images, but I'm trying to show process. I don't have digital tools. Thank you!

I think I finally figured something out with the kitchen drawing. I first have to find the box that is the SPACE in which the kitchen sits and ignore the spaces around it. This is a redraft of the perspective drawing of my kitchen, which is pretty close to what I see when I stand in the dining room and look into the kitchen from the side. I'd like to try this by doing a 1-pt perspective drawing, but I think it will be a distorted view. It might be easier, though, to depict the kitchen interior in 1-pt perspective.

Oh, g-dddd. Please, someone help! I know that there is 2-pt perspective in this very rough drawing. This is an alt-2 for our kitchen renovation. Showing an existing wall on the right, with extra cabinetry in the event we cannot take the wall down (X-ray.) I drew and redrew the corners of the cabinet several times because I got very confused by the perspective. .

Submitting a "final" before moving on to 2-point. I think I got some level 2 into this. These are real rooms in my house, and I'm making the drawing for the practical purpose of reference for our kitchen renovation. We hope to break a wall and combine two small rooms, so the configuration was confusing, but I think I figured it out. This is just a concept and the dimensions are OFF. The second room in the foreground is smaller than it appears in this drawing. There should be much more foreshortening.

This is very rough and unfinished. There are definitely things confusing me. I'm posting this drawing but will do another one after I've watched the demo.

Here is my room assignment 1. This is actually a drawing I've been trying to make for some time. Prof. P's video somehow made it less daunting. Sorry, Prof. P: I have to put the sink in the right place because I'm actually using these drawings for a real kitchen renovation in the new year :) This feels very rough and I saw even more mistakes when I took the photo, but I will be redrawing this same room for a while.

1-pt perspective boxes. Thank you for the very hands-on approach. I always get frozen with perspective exercises, trying to make everything perfect. I think your message is that getting through the process is important, and there's always time to perfect execution as we go along. Did I understand correctly?

I did this assignment over the last week. I tried the 2-part assignment myself first before watching the demos. After the demos, I tried image 1 again by myself but gave up by image 2 and did them again while rewatching the demos. After watching the last two critique videos and the final demo, I will finish this course. It's taken me at least 2.5 years. It was worth it, and I feel I will be returning to this material regularly in the coming years

My rhythms assigment, feedback is very appreciated. I did them over multiple sessions over the last week or so.
I drew over some of them when checking the proportions.
Will do some more after watching the demo and feedback videos :)

Hi, Martha: I really like your Rythm drawings as well. You've done some great analysis. I know that Prof. P has emphasized clean lines but I think you could afford to "make a bit of a mess" and draw through the forms more. He does that in his demos as well. My feeling is that It's good to go back and forth between extremes because it helps us find our own balance. I think this exercise is really key. Making connections quickly in a drawing can really move us forward. It helps me see so much more than I did before. What a joy to be able to do this, right?

I just did the lower leg muscle assignment. I've been doing the anatomy course off and on for about two (?) years now. I'm also in drawing fundamentals, so I sure hope that I'll get a better understanding of shading so that I can do these anatomy assignments a little better. I tried to make a simpler DYNAMIC SHAPE drawing of the second assignment, hoping that it would make shading easier. I don't think it helped.

Here are my first RYTHM sketches. I will do a lot of these. I'm sorry about the terrible lighting. It's worse now it's winter. Having just revisited DYNAMIC SHAPES to post, I'm clearer about the difference between these two concepts.

I'm posting this assignment late. I'm following along and doing the work, but no time to post! I drew the fun seals and walruses, but also wanted to apply the concept of DYNAMIC SHAPE to figures. I continued thinking about this concept for the next month. The nudes in this post are just my first few attempts.
I tried the proportions assignment (Drawing Basics). I do OK with all the points listed at the end of the lesson, EXCEPT for units, which really trip me up. I actually tried to go to step three and lay in the eyes. I think they are too big.

Did calves again after watching "Draw Calf Muscles like a Pro." Used charcoal this time. It's a bit better - I think.
Calves. Not happy with these but I'm posting anyway. I'll do them again once I've watched the demos.
