Trying all the projects again. Should reattempt this one or move on to the level 2 exercise? I used a 6B, 4B and HB graphite pencil.

These are from my first week studying gesture. I think I'm starting to understand trying to show the flow through the entire body but I definitely struggle on all of these. Right now the plan is to keep doing 1-2 hours gesture drawing daily then more line studies, sketches from imagination or observation and keeping up with the different warm ups. Any advice on something to add in or change beyond more practice would be really appreciated! Thanks

Three from today. I'm using this as a warm up post warm up before more line work master studies. It's really hard for me to keep things simple and I think I have a habit to want to jump to overcomplicating and adding detail before refining really basic shapes/lines in all my sketches

I tried an Eliza Ivanova portrait and spent a little more time on it. This is the third attempt. I really like how she uses chaotic looking lines to add depth and form to the face. Mainly just focusing on the face for this part. I think the ear and neck are off proportionally and the fabric got away from me. I missed a lot of the softer contour looking lines but this is a really cool style I'm going to study more
