The Tempest.
I enjoyed playing with light with these complimentary colours. I don’t usually go so abstract but I was trying not to think and just paint 🙂

I'm kinda in love with your sharp edges and colour choices <3 Love all the little triangles in the car one!
As soon as I saw the subject of this challenge, I was so excited that I immediately started to work on it. Designing color and light is probably one of my favorite things in the painting process, so making this piece was a pure pleasure. I must admit that I'm pretty happy with how it turned out ;)
Good luck everyone!

When I read "light and color" I immediately thought of the long winter walks I'd take with my mom's dog last year. Good thing I snapped lots of photos of the stunning sunsets!
So, meet Sunia! She's 17 and completely deaf, but still such a mountain of energy! We had a lot of fun on our walks and I miss her lots <3

I did this drawing after going with my friends at a party. I was drunk at the time, but I think that was an advantage.

The brief says animation is an option, but looks like Proko does not allow uploads of video files in threads, and even gifs have to be under 1MB. How to submit an animation in that case? Link to youtube/vimeo?

Hello everyone! Okay, I guess this is the last call to post my submission. This month's subject was so great. I couldn't miss it even tho I started 2 weeks after the challenge was announced. For my entry, I've decided to draw an illustration for "Sword of Destiny" - a short story collection from the Witcher universe, written by Andrzej Sapkowski. Hope you like it! Good luck everyone!

@SLEW thank you for featuring my work and the comments! It was indeed digital ;)
I'm so excited about this challenge! I made a cover for the Book 'A Murder Most Unladylike' by Robin Stevens - I love children's book illustration and am personally not a big fan of the original covers, so this was very fun to do! I used a limited color palette - staying with cool greens and warm red/oranges as a contrast.
The line work is done traditionally with pencil - colored in digitally, with a traditional gouache texture.
the prompt was inspired by the Penguin Book Awards prompt - but I was not able to actually participate due to not living in the UK. I put a lot of work into this cover, so I'm very excited to be able to show it to people on here!

"Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" has got to be one of my favourite novels ever. Had a lot of fun thinking of ideas for this.
