Marshall, If you listen to audible, I would recommend a book called "A Fabulous Creation" by David Hepworth. It charts the history of the LP Album, and features a section where the design of the Album cover is discussed. A great listen.

Hey everybody. I've just posted my submission in the "final submissions thread". I thought I'd include my process here. Included are the initial thumbnail, pencil sketch, rendered monotone, rendered monotone with flat colour, and the final colored render. All work drawn in Clip Studio Paint.

2022/7/17. Good evening everybody. I've always loved borderline female characters. From Snow White's stepmother to Catwoman, from Elphaba from the musical Wiked, to the very recent Jinx from Arcane through Elsa from Frozen. I don't really know why. I find them all incredibly beautiful and strong but also very maternal and with an irresistible sensuality. Do I sound weird? However, among vampire ladies, witches and demonesses, one of my favorites is Lilith from the video game Diablo. This is a small tribute to "Benedecta Madre", Mephisto's beautiful daughter, Lilith. Conte B, charcoal, white charcoal and charcoal powder on smooth paper 42x29 cm.

Nicely done. You might want to check your proportions.

2022/7/5. Good morning everybody. Here’s my warming up exercise to start the practice day. I really have to fix this bad habit to stretch vertically the figure. Thanks for any comment or advice.

I've just started Patrick Jones "How to draw Fantasy Female Figures." I'm learning it alongside Stans Figure drawing course. Patricks more intuitive approach provides an excellent counterpoint to Stans technically grounded lessons.

Looks great! David's pencils are pretty tight. If you want to challenge yourself, try to find some looser inks where the penciller has left more decisions up to the inker. Gene Colan in particular is a good person to work over for that. You can find plenty of his pencils online. I know this may sound a bit counterintuitive, but also try inking over finished inks of your favorite inkers. It's a great way to absorb the mark making. Even if you're working digitally, you'll figure out what brush sets you need to achieve certain effects. Someone suggested this to me years ago, and it took me a long time to get around to trying it, but honestly, I learned way more doing that exercise than I did inking over pencils alone. Again, great job on Etrigan.

I watched with interest Ryan Benjamins video on inking in Clip Studio. It's been awhile since I tried any inking, and tried to follow Ryans advice as best I could. Included are pencils by Proko contributor David Finch and my digital inks. It took me about 4 hours and I had fun. Any comments welcome.

Hey everybody, Here is my submission for the April Proko Challenge. I've been relistening to Lovecrafts work recently and thought he'd make a good subject. I based my design on the woodcut novels of Lynd Ward. Hope you like the result.
