Critique for a Fiery Figurehead2yr
So I want to make better use of this site so I'm going to post a WIP that I have decided to not finish until later.
I would like to know what you all think of this piece, I'm mostly a character designer and I'm planning this character to be based on fire. Dangerous, yet Gentle, yet godly. Also, what I want to do is to look at a reference in my work and make the waist up similar to the full body.
So, not sure what else to say, but do you have any thoughts on the piece?
So what do I do in this instance?

My name is Shawn and I am currently a student studying for game development. I specialize in pixel art and asset making for quite some time and I want to at least share what I have. I am very comfortable in humanoid character design, but I want to explore more into composition, object design, and actually doing character concept art.
I have a question as portfolios and if you can use any site to promote it. I use World Anvil, a worldbuilding site where I can show both my art and my writing at the same time.

Allow me to ramble about Proto Bananapeel. He is known to have gags and parodies as his superpower. He is a mask currently in possession of a merman. I should crank more of these out to finish my superhero suit article.

I totally love the colours of the piece with the balances of light oranges and dark blues, with the yellow as a touch to break the shapes. The face is bright enough to distinguish between the body, but my eyes are pulled to the dark part of the chin next to the clavicle. Also, I couldn't see the eyes from far away, but I was pulled into the brightness that is the light of the face. It feels realistic and it looks wonderful. I could not wait for a finished release.

Some say we need a superhero. Here is one kind of them. Proto Blue Moon is seen as some master weapon master and can wield practically anything with ease. This style I did on a Mario and Luigi type of game rather than fighting games like Marvel vs Capcom, Capcom vs SNK, or any style akin to the pixels of Capcom fighters.

The Cardinal. Some ask about the Horoscope of the Black Marble, to put it simply, its colours. This image is the Cardinal, a red card. It's easy to spot a red bird on a bright day. I use inspiration on Tarot cards to help me with this design and used two fonts for this, "Neutrino" and "Piacevoli", both by fontenddev.com.
