I have a request for a podcast episode topic. I just binge-watched all three seasons in a few weeks, and I now have a giant list of books, films, and more to follow up on from the episodes. In one episode, Marshall's 'what's your thang' was about how he would revisit so many of the things he's studied again and again over many years, reading books he's read, and re-watching films and courses he's done. I would like to cultivate a more natural tendency to nerd out on things with genuine interest and for the sake of curiosity. I know some people like Marshall who seem to go down rabbit holes on the internet and find all these interesting things to explore. I don't seem to do that myself, so I'm thinking I have less of that natural explorative mindset, but it's possible I'm doing better than I think and simply desire more of it. I feel like this skill to re-visit content is not just about the Great Courses or any specific subject. It is about learning itself, and being curious. It is also about being a really good student or professional, in the sense that to teach courses like Marshall or Stan have, they had to really nerd out on the subjects and revisit them again and again. I feel like I used to naturally nerd out on things more than I do now, and I wonder if I'm able to re-establish that kind of mentality again, as it feels essential to really getting good at art or other things too. 1) How does one live in a state of exploration like Marshall seems to have done all his life? 2) Are there any exercises that would help someone to cultivate a curiosity and the follow through to learn about many subjects such as he has? 3) How do we develop a flow and naturalness of being the kind of person who revisits and is excited about learning all kinds of things over many years? This seems like a personal thing to each individual's tastes and interest, though I ask these questions in this spirit: If Marshall was going to teach a class on how to become someone who likes to learn about all kinds of things and re-visit them again and again because they are naturally curious and enjoy the deep dive into life's subjects - what would he offer? There are many elements in the podcast episodes that dance around this idea, yet they do not look right at it. These questions may not have direct conclusions, though I think the topic itself is worth exploring and I'd love to hear Marshall and Stan go into it. Thank you.

I discovered this challenge while binge watching the first season of the Draftsman podcast. There was no better choice than to continue listening into the second season while creating the speakers into animals. I had a few ideas, yet when Rafiki came to mind, I knew that he was the perfect candidate for Marshall. In my mind's eye, I could see Marshall holding up Stan off the cliff with Scar in the background, matching the intensity of Ethan's persona. When I connected his eye brow scar to the cartoon... Well, I couldn't resist. - Anthony @whenanthonywas
