A little late. But here's my entry for the gesture drawing day. I'm a little rusty on gesture drawing this is a nice refresher warm up.

Head Layins.
Nothing packs more of all the drawing concepts (line, plane, gesture/expression, mass,...) like the head.

The more I get involved in these daily challenges, the more I discover my weak points and inclinations.
I appreciate the daily push.

Hey Love the sketches you got a nice flow with the core shadows ! But a friendly reminded to present your pictures better. make sure they are rotated the correct way.

Faces are hard! I didn't take too many measurements and I paid the price for it. These are challenging but fun.

A little bit of gesture/structure studies here. I try to keep notes when I do practice to what I did wrong or right (sometimes by drawing my lil bunny me character reacting to it). These are ruffly 18-20 minute each.

I haven't done these studies in awhile. I started learning gesture way back from your courses (along anatomy pretty much everything you guys do) and these lession are a real fun refreshers for the principals of gesture. Also just to note: I am using lazy nazumi at 25 smoothing, my lines are much worse on papier but I do try to practice regulary on my sketchbook to better my lines. I don't know where to post these really. **NSFW warning for the reference pictures !!**

Definitely going to try and submit multiple entries this month! I’m so excited because it was watching Marco Bucci videos on youtube that got me started with digital drawing (and probably starting to take drawing more seriously). Thank you so much for all the fantastic resources! Hopefully I’ve taken one or two lessons on board….
If anyone has any advice or critique on my submission that would be hugely appreciated! Thank youuuu x

My entry for June proko challenge
Show 1 more replies
Hello, first time participating in a proko challenge. I've always struggled with light and color and I'm a fan of Marco Bucci's lessons (no way I'm missing this one out).
I'm not sure if I did the challenge right... as I pushed the render a little beyond the sketchiness (certainly to hide the some of issues with perspective).
Inspired by Patrick J. Jones's fantasy girls I wanted to do something within that theme.
I tried to implement cold and warm colors and interesting shadow/light shapes (keep it basic I guess).
Here's the result and my submission.

Asked for help
Hello, First time participating in a Proko challenge. Here is some WIP and few thumbnails for light scenario I also added the Sketch. I'm inspired by Patrick J Jones (since I got the pdf books) and trying to combine his style with my own and try to achieve an interesting light and color.
The second Thumbnail is the most attractive to me, but I still wanted to try and see if I could come up with something better.
I'm hoping for any type of criticism and guidance.
Thank you :)

I'm fairly new to Painterly style, and I want to improve and be a better illustrator. The pose is from reference but the character and everything else I tried to invent. I was going for Magic the gathering style (but my habits seem to kicked and it totally doesn't anymore)
I tried to play with light and composition a little but I'm not sure if I have nailed them. The design isn't that interesting too.
Some Criticism and much needed direction going forward Would be nice Thanks !

I created these two brushes the left one from brushes I already had the other from a flower pictures I made years ago in my garden I gave it color dynamic (just to test it out I guess)
I don't know yet how I'm gonna use these I'll have to probably play around with them a but to see where I can implement them.
