This discussions was a bit of a depressing listen but very important. I was thinking if the AI art generators prompts could have an in built restriction that forbids them from using artist's names to somehow forbid them from replicating their style. That might be a long shot, but I guess it's something. I also think it would be cool if you interviewed a lawyer about the ramifications of the breach in copyright AI art is. I think it would be cool if you talked to someone like LegalEagle over on Youtube you could be bringing more people outside of artists and AI tech people into this discussion.

Hello everyone! For this Challenge I did a portrait of my friend Ryan Haack family. He is an indie comic book writer so I added his comic anthology Unspeakable Text to the scene. I did a second version with the pages of a comic I illustrated for him called Mr. Frost in the background.

Halloween in July. I plan to go trick or treating with the kids this year... for the first time! We live in Australia. It's taken a while but we're catching on to this trick or treating business :P I had covid... still have... so I wasn't able to take any group photos for reference. I had to blend what I already had of the kids with some stock photos from pexels and what I've been learning from Aaron Blaise tutorials.

To express my experience of grief and its complexity I created this two-faced self portrait. Not a traditional group, but I wanted to represent the faces of grief - one we share with the world and one, the more raw one, we hide from most people. acrylic on canvas

Here's my submission for the challenge! I really love portraits and i try to keep a "traditional" feel even if most of my work is digital. Thanks so much for all you did Marco & Proko's team ♥

My submission for the June 2022 Challenge! Worked hard to preserve a sketchy and painterly feel with the brushstrokes while still maintaining a realistic representation of the colours and light.

I like the cut out brush style. Feels a little bit like a collage.

I'm a little bit late, but decided to post it anyway. I've learned a lot about colours during this challenge. Thanks to Marco Bucci and Proko team! I would really appreciate any feedback!

This looks really good! I like all the detail in it. In terms of feedback I don't really have much to say because overall it's pretty good and I suspect some of the decisions are stylistic choices. I feel like some of the edges of some brushstrokes could be harder especially in the highlighted detailed knit on his face. This piece also has a grainy texture to it that I like. The only thing that strikes me as potentially off is the way the nose is shaded. It looks like the shadow is falling on it in the same direction light is falling on the rest of him. It could be that the glasses are casting this shadow but I think you might be better at defining that and having the rest of his nose following the rendering of light and shadow as the rest of his body. Anyway I hope this is useful and good luck!

Hi all, here is my sketching light digital painting. I’m sticking with the cat theme from the last Proko challenge. So now I can create a children’s book very soon!

My first challenge submission. The work was based off of this photo of apartments in Venice, Italy. Thanks!

Nice work on the details! Personally, I think you would have benefited by having some darker shadows to up the contrast a bit but looks pretty good as is. Good luck!
