Hello again! Posting two hieararchy of importance rhinos this time. One was done with a brush pen and the other one simply with a 4B pencil. It is still very clear how much I struggle with the brush pen, but I do find myself getting at least a bit better...Which is satisfying. Hopefully Stan shows use some of his marker skills too haha. PS: The close up of Stan drawing the baggy eyelids was so great...It really shows how great of a draftsperson he is!

Level one and two rhino assignments. I really love this lesson so far! I ve been always afraid of lineweight and never quite understood how to use it in any drawings, but now it was finally explained to me. Really keen on doing drawings from life using lineweight! PS: keep up the effort everybody! :)

Learning to Sketch from Observation: After demo: 1st pic is the searching line for the hand; 2nd is the bold line after the search. It is hard not to switch to measuring so proportions are not perfect but am I executing the process properly? I have to say it was much more fun to use the tapered line search rather than the contour line I have been relying on. Nice to have more lines in my arsenal.

Hello Theresa, I think that you did great overall! Although the first searching line sketch does seem a bit rough, it very much did its job of making you find the shapes. The second bold outline shows the energy of the hand very well afterwards, which only confirms that the process was successful.

Drew some pandas in different shapes, so that I could finally tackle my brothers tattoo wish...I´m not sure if the final product has enough character, but it sure was fun. :)

Here's my submission. I made 2 attempts at the full-page sketch from imagination. I'm not sure If this is what the assignment required, were we supposed to stylise and exaggerate our subject?

For some reason I've decided to draw japanese thermal macaques, as smugs. It was really fun!

I think the red pencil helps. I still have too many searching lines, but more of them are finding what they are looking for. This looks far better than what I did in graphite:

Captain skelly take two! Struggled with this one too but it is far better than my last attempt, where the drawing was just too loose. Great demo Stan as always!

Simplify to CSI take two! It still is a struggle to do the confident lines but it is far better than my first attempt, where I was just too loose. Great demo Stan as always :)

Slowed my drawing down to a snail’s pace and felt less frustrated—checking and rechecking angles in relationships with other edges. At some point I always end up off and then it becomes a puzzle but I decided to just press on and finish.

Well done Theresa, sometimes its important to go on and finish up a piece so that the drawing isnt too frustrating. You can always try it out again and maybe it will finish up better next time. Keep up the good work :)

Day 6 was a lil different. I drew a portrait of my grandma. It has its flaws, but I'm quite happy with the experience I've gotten from this. Anyways, have a nice day everybody :)

On the fifth day I drew some tea cups/pots. The perspective was quite difficult, but fun :)
