Creativity is hard to pull off. I don't mean that you're innate self or vision are somehow a problem to be solved, or that we need to fit ourselves into some very uncomfortable shape in order to truly be creative.
I mean, explicitly that expressing your vision, taking the picture you see out of your head and manifesting it on paper in a way that shows what you feel is an incredible challenge.
To help us do this in the best way possible it's important that we go through an ideation phase. The best easiest cleanest way to go through this is by creating a thumbnail drawing of the composition. These simple and quick studies bridge of the gap in between the hypothetical great composition in your mind and the sometimes harsh reality of how it exists on a two dimensional picture plane.
In this lesson, I'm gonna show you everything I do when making a thumbnail so that you can make your own in preparation for the final project in this series.
