The Judge

@michaelmattesi is an artist, author, concept artist, illustrator, and art instructor. Michael began his art career at the School of Visual Arts in New York City where he pursued comic book art but landed working at Disney in Consumer Products and in Feature Animation where he had the chance to work on The Lion King. After moving to California, he wrote the popular drawing book FORCE and launched a company called Contagious Concepts.

Michael has taught at and worked for studios such as, but not limited to, Microsoft, Nickelodeon, and EA and has had drawing workshops all over the world. He now runs DrawingForce.com, an art instruction site focused on teaching the ins and outs of design, anatomy, and gesture. We are excited to have him as the judge for this month's #Prokochallenge!
