We finally use all we've learned and tackle a final page! This is based on a real-world assignment I had for a children's book called 'Norbert's Big Dream.'
Do I have to use only digital painting? I don't have one with me. . Can I use color pencil on the paper?
I worked on this illustration while going through the course and Marco really helped to have my steps organized.
Even though I went through a thumbnailing phase for the composition, values and then colors, I struggled so much with painting the foreground mushroom and in the end started to doubt it's positioning. Maybe I'll make a repaint at some point because I really enjoy my little Lillypad character.
Oh, and I guess the end result would be way too dark for print but that's ok since it isn't meant for printing.
