Helly guys I want to talk about passion is that does it mean that being passionate means working even though if we are mentally tired and if we are feeling mentally tired and we wanna stop does that mean that we lack patience and wanna relax and I have always looked at passion like something that would instantly give energy and I have been so much fuckin infuriated by it and thoughts like don't stop you won't be called passionate if stop and take break while working on an art piece like all the time I thought about passion and passion passion this passion that so much that I destroyed my mental state because I thought I won't be called passionate if I stop and I don't want that I want to be called passionate but at the same i don't want to destroy my mental mental state and what exactly is this passion and how is it necessary and how do you all look up to it????
Passion is just really loving what you do, ain't nothing more, ain't nothing less. I have had a similar issue just recently with anxiety, I had the fear of taking a break because I was terrified I would never come back to drawing if I did. There is nothing wrong with taking a break if anything if your feeling like you need a break and you are over working yourself then yeah you should take a break, it's just plain unhealthy not too. If you keep trying to push through when your mentally exhausted your just gonna get burnt out and maybe will never come back to drawing. And tell ya what I took a break and came back to after say a month or so and I'm fired up and ready to go, and my art even looked better too! I would say just don't worry about being passionate or if others think your passionate, after all what they say has no real impact unless if you decide it does. Just enjoy what you do no matter how big or small and that will take you far, it has for me.
I know the feeling. You are in your head. Most confused thoughts in the head are in the head. If you talk about this in person - it starts to clear. You even talk about it outloud to yourself and you start to figure it out. we have infinite passion. We have finite time. And so...the whole life is about finding out how to negotiate. Passion is not gasoline, you still need gas in the tank to follow your passion. But its amazing how a little bit of following a passion, sometimes, is all you need. Not days and weeks, just a few minutes to do it. i.e: You are exhausted and you're overwhelmed and overworked. But, you give in and watch one of these classes here on Proko that you really WANT to watch - not one you SHOULD watch - one you WANT to watch. You consume it, you enjoy it, and you draw something based on what you learned for 5 minutes. Just 5 minutes. the next day, assuming you really are excited about it - you give it another 5 minutes. And so on and so forth and its possible that before you know it, you have made quite a bit of progress in developing this new skill. its no longer a big deal, its just a matter of a little time here and a little time there. But, you wont do these things until your ready to do them. Your message speaks to me because i reminds me of myself and my own...mental state sometimes. But, i notied that when i say it outloud, it helps, and when i even do a little bit...it can actually feel like a lot. And if your body says F U i dont want to work rigth now i need to rest - then maybe you should rest and allow it to feel good.
