Gotta question

Hello everyone I have a question that art is supposed to be fun and in fun you don't feel tired but when we actually go to drawing we get tired after hours of drawing and I used to feel that you don't get tired while creating art and I used to feel bad about it.
Art is fun loving things then why do we get tired creating art and I feel frustrated with these thoughts
i think you may have answered your question and concern, I do believe if we draw for hours and everyday, we are probably gonna get hyper focused, frustrated, and burnt out. It happened to me two weeks ago.
I was trying to create a character and it wasn’t coming out right. I felt overwhelmed because I needed to
- create a figure
- anatomy
- clothing
- original look, not looking at one reference
- shadowing
its a lot for me since I’m new to character design. I took a two day break and decided to go back to the basics. I went back to using gesture, cylinders and boxes. I just build the body and that’s it. No anatomy. Small goals and build up when I start to get better.
i believe drawing is very hard and it’s a slow growth. But if you ever find yourself frustrated and going for hours….
bro trust me take a break. Your art is not a reflection of your self worth.
take a break and come back after 2 days or more if you need more time. Sometimes doing the same thing every time might be boring. Maybe just focus on gestures then boxes, or portrait.
hope it helps!
Thank you very much for your words and yeah taking breaks is really necessary and good mental health and better art
