hey guys, i'm back from exams season in university so i have more time to dedicate to drawing. I'm currently doing 100 sketches of interacting characters, so i choose a couple of my best ones and i would like to hear your thoughts about it. specifically i'm interested in critique in gesture and costruction of the body. P.S. these are not finished work but sketches to study

If the gesture is neat and correct, there is no need for kinetic lines. Many mangaka abuse them because of inexperience in drawing, remember that most of them enter the publishing market at a very young age, often just out of high school, without any specific training, so they use kinetic lines to mask deficiencies in the drawing of the figure (or because they simply do not know how else to represent the movement). So, leave kinetic lines alone for now. That leg would have shown the movement correctly simply by using curved lines instead of straight ones :)

Hey Alberto, These are pretty difficult, good job attempting 100 of them. I did a draw over to show you some things I think you can work on to make your drawings even better. Most of it has to do with making sure that you keep gesture in mind and not to forget the structure. Hope this helps :)
