The tail looks way more foreshortened in the reference, try drawing the ellipse inside the tail and construct it around the arch

Trying out some heads. These were from imagination and I really struggled with some angles.

Touch your neck. You can feel it starting from under your chin at the front and on the back it starts way up higher, where?
Go feel for it, it actually sits on the occipital prominence, much higher to where you have drawn it.
Don't worry, the flaw lies in the construction model itself, the sphere flattens these useful angles and makes it impossible to find the right origins for the main neck muscles
Remember, the head should be flowing into the neck and the rest of the body. It's not just a balloon floating around!

I reshuffled the values a bit, to get rid of accidental deep shadows, like under her right arm, and make her fit the 5 value palette a little better. Feel free to shoot!
My only advice would be to fix that broken clavicle. I don't see it staying at that sharp angle unless the arms is raised high up.

Some portraits I've done from reference, critiques are appreciated!
Static poses, try looking for the "About to" moment. See the triangle between the crotch and feet? The more equilateral it is the more lifeless your drawing will look

The fact that I can feel the underlying construction makes it rewarding

Hi, I'm currently practicing mannequinization. I know I have still to work a lot on the line quality but I would like some feedback on the exercise and if this is how I should approach it :) (sorry for the photo quality too)
Pretty good job, I can see you have struggled with placing the boxes for the ribcage and pelvis, mainly with their axes, try to remember how the two masses have an opposing tilt to each other.
This means that in the front view you will se bottom plane of the ribcage box, and the top plane of the pelvis box and the opposite is true for the back view!
In your fourth page, you nailed the tilt of the pelvis but lost the opportunity to showcase the perspectives of the ribcage! Look at the shoulders, by showing the top plane of the box you would have been much clearer with the perspective.
Try using cylinders to showcase the perspective of a pose alongside boxes, it will help you understand whether a form is receding or coming towards you more easily

Hey everyone
i am a beginner artist from India and here’s my recent portrait drawing which I learned from Proko ,the portrait drawing fundamental series.
It would be really nice to get some feedback’s/critique from you guys and I am really looking forward to make some friends over here too.
Since you are looking up, there should be a bit of the jaw's underside visible and connecting to the neck but you only show a sudden transition with just a t overlap between the neck and chin.
Touch your neck, do you feel the larynx? That's what your neck is missing the most!

Hey everyone! glad to be apart of this great community, I'm studying the loomis method and I'm adding the skull to the ball just for structural purposes. a bit frustrated with the previous attempts but this one I spend some time on, I have not studied the anatomy of the skull yet but I'm sure things would be alot more clear once I do. Would love some critique 😁
The nasal bone should project off the plane of the glabella, your maxilla and jaw are pretty flat too, try using ellipses as guidelines to feel their turn in space.
Still, your did a pretty good jaw at carving out the side plane of the skull and jaw from the front!

I have a problem in mapping the face features, should I study map the "socket" of the features or draw the features completely? or maybe you have another suggestion?
Perspective and basic head construction would help you more, drawing the features is not too difficult, the real challenge is to place them consistently with the head construction beforehand
