The tail looks way more foreshortened in the reference, try drawing the ellipse inside the tail and construct it around the arch
rajeev Tripathee
I will try it. Thanks for the feedback
Kimberly Hawkins
Trying out some heads. These were from imagination and I really struggled with some angles.

Touch your neck. You can feel it starting from under your chin at the front and on the back it starts way up higher, where? Go feel for it, it actually sits on the occipital prominence, much higher to where you have drawn it. Don't worry, the flaw lies in the construction model itself, the sphere flattens these useful angles and makes it impossible to find the right origins for the main neck muscles Remember, the head should be flowing into the neck and the rest of the body. It's not just a balloon floating around!

I reshuffled the values a bit, to get rid of accidental deep shadows, like under her right arm, and make her fit the 5 value palette a little better. Feel free to shoot!

My only advice would be to fix that broken clavicle. I don't see it staying at that sharp angle unless the arms is raised high up.

Tried applying construction on the gesture

Some portraits I've done from reference, critiques are appreciated!

Static poses, try looking for the "About to" moment. See the triangle between the crotch and feet? The more equilateral it is the more lifeless your drawing will look
Dennis Yeary
Yeah I’m hoping to fix that with some practice. But not bad for not using a reference

The fact that I can feel the underlying construction makes it rewarding

Hi, I'm currently practicing mannequinization. I know I have still to work a lot on the line quality but I would like some feedback on the exercise and if this is how I should approach it :) (sorry for the photo quality too)

Pretty good job, I can see you have struggled with placing the boxes for the ribcage and pelvis, mainly with their axes, try to remember how the two masses have an opposing tilt to each other. This means that in the front view you will se bottom plane of the ribcage box, and the top plane of the pelvis box and the opposite is true for the back view! In your fourth page, you nailed the tilt of the pelvis but lost the opportunity to showcase the perspectives of the ribcage! Look at the shoulders, by showing the top plane of the box you would have been much clearer with the perspective. Try using cylinders to showcase the perspective of a pose alongside boxes, it will help you understand whether a form is receding or coming towards you more easily
