shoes and snail done. i'm not exactly sure the level of detail to put in. i also struggle with proportions big time. will try to spend more time with the lay-in process. edit : camel added. proportions are terrible, but it kinda makes him cute af.

i'm struggling hard to be able to "see through" the models and understand the structure that makes up the forms (such as where the spine should fall in the body or how to "draw through" the torso/rib-cage). i've done a bunch of 3d box practice, but these organic forms are a bit trickier. Any suggestions?

Oh boy, first assignment time! I'm just a beginner but so far I feel like my pace is closer to the intermediate, I'm like level 1.5! Well, what to do? I guess I'll just draw a beautiful peartrait ;)) Shading was done with 2B and F (Which stands for F-You-Proko-F-Is-A-Good-Pencil (peardon my french)).

I'm a lot greener than most folks posting here... been drawing about a year now. Here are my attempts at both levels. Level 2 is definitely a stretch for me... i found i had to make corrections as i didn't spend enough time getting the general gesture / shape down well enough and that led me to not be nearly as committed in my value shapes. Especially true in the face... Also, my hands sweat. A LOT. you can see the smudging pretty bad on the portrait. and that's WHILE wearing a drawing glove. Any suggestions on what to do to for this? Pear : Time - 5 minutes Pencils - Charcoal HB and 2B Headshot: Time : 25 minutes Pencils - Charcoal HB and 2B, and experimented with the staedtler HB and cretacolor monolith 2b SO EXCITED TO IMPROVE WITH MY COLLEAGUES THROUGHOUT THIS COURSE!!! EDIT : tried to do an orange from still life. it's much harder. attached below!
