Awesome, great looseness and line quality! Also great job applying guidelines for the VR girl sketch, which helped mark the placement with great results. The same principle also helps with sketches like the penguin and hand - for example with the hand, extending a line from one side of the wrist to the opposite side would help place the two points more in unison. Thinking this way helps with any future sketching from reference you may want to try out in the future -- you're already on track so keep up the good work!

First image is the before demo, and the second is after the demo. It seems like I am struggling with distinguishing and capturing the values correctly. Maybe that’s why my pear doesn’t look three-dimensional?
Feedback is welcome, thank you!
I believe your proportion and shape confidence has improved greatly just from seeing the demo. However, I would work on keeping the tones nice and smooth without looking wavy - still something I struggle with as well

Here's a before and after drawing of the pear. I feel my tones are more proportionate, but I believe more practice will make each shadow shape less ambiguous. Especially the halftone
I definitely see an improvement in your after demo pear—I see more care with the way you designed your shapes. Your consistent and clear use of tones really make the pear appear three dimensional and clean. Great job!

Here are My CSI drawings! These proved quite difficult, and I am unsure where or why. I believe the boots was a subject I struggled with more than the nice lively snail. Let me know what you guys think

Here is my attempt at simplifying the pear from photo 3 for this exercise. I feel as if learning about the 5 simple values were what helped me the most^.
