I found that my longer poses always seemed to be a bit stiffer so I started focusing on doing more sets of 1 minute poses to try and loosen myself up. Have also been enjoying trying to compose nicer pages as well.
I feel like my line weight could be more controlled. Is this something I should try work on now, or wait until a further lesson?
Hello
Recently tried to edit a post of mine by adding another paragraph. The submit button stayed in place in the text window and seemed to be under the text.
Even after deleting the paragraph, the submit button was still unpressable, seemingly under the text window.

I definitely messed up my initial measuring and proportions, squished the poor guy’s beard. Had a lot of fun with my shape designs.
Question for others; did anyone else get lost/confused with their mid values throughout the drawing?
I did my drawing over multiple sessions and the further in I got, the more I feel I lost track of my value continuity. I think I was maybe too tunnel visioned with the immediate contrasts of the shapes I was working on and possibly not cross referencing to other areas previously worked on. Something to work on in the future I guess!

Did a few drawing at first, but thought I could do better, so did another page. Still some mistakes, but a fun exercise!

It was interesting taking not of how strongly some of these perspective tricks were actually used in some of these pieces. the MC Escher one didn't seem to use much at all, I guess that's just how isometric is though.

I definitely started this project with values that were too light. Once I established my value range, I focused on slowly adjusting my darkest lights and lightest darks. I think this helped reign in my impulses to just blast my page with graphite. Finished with the shadows then the highlight as the cherry on top.
Throughout the whole drawing I felt that my eye was getting more in tune with the subtleties of values in light side of the sphere, something I found I’ve rarely focused on. Watching the Lambert’s Cosine Law helped me realise this!
