Definitely one of the messier projects!

My attempts so far for level 1, though I've also added my own corrections, sorry if that makes these hard to read! Am happy with my whistle, good to have a chance to practice ellipses again!

I guess this is a wizard's house? I think it has wizard energy. Tried to mix up my line weight, I think some works, some doesn't. Not sure my twisty building is *quite* right? But also I'm not going to beat myself up, there are aspects I do like! Edit to add: definitely took some cues from Axel Gyllenstierna's project below, awesome work! So if you see this Axel, thank you!

Just did a quick pass to darken up the contour, which I think pushes the detail into the back a little, and gave the chimneys a small rework

My two little ginger people! Definitely some elements that got away from me a little, but there's also elements in there I'm happy with. Progress not perfection!

Going to do more of these, especially since my ginger and blob are copies of Stan's, but I'm pleased wiht my seals (though you can definitely see a lot of eraser marks where `I struggled!) The other big win here is comparing these to my previous seal drawings and seeing how much more confident my contour lines look now.

Second page of these, sketched most of these with the critique on in the background, so I definitely think they benefitted from me having watched the demo. A couple boxes I'm not 100% happy with the convergence on (one of which I've corrected since taking this photo) but enjoyed the exercise and think (hope!) they mostly look good!
Stephen Worthington
Boxes! Certainly not perfect, think I'll be doing a lot more of these for warm ups!

4 level 1 portrait boxes 2 - I wonder if it's not 2 point enough? But then, given a head is a small object, I guess the vanishing point would be incredibly far away. Anyway, I've not measured my box but I do wonder if either my X or Y axes will have vanishing points 5 & 8 - think these are fine? 10 - definitely the one I struggled to visualise most because of the rotation on both the Z and X axes, but I think it came together okay

Though I do seem to have given everyone very wide faces. Particularly 8, whose head I have drawn wider than it is deep.

Tried to draw my kitchen from memory (with some slight modifications - I do have an oven! And I invented a low sitting kitchen island to try and make it more interesting) I see a couple of problems, I think the lack of depth on the back row isn't just because of foreshortening, I think I just didn't draw them big enough. I think because I started with the taller cabinet I sort of drew myself into a corner and couldn't amend them. I guess my main takeaway is that I don't know how to do depth accurately yet, hopefully the 20% of the maths will get me there! Either way, fun exercise and I think I added enough to keep it challenging. Any critique/feedback gratefully received :)

I think the size of the cabinets looks fine, the area that throws me off a bit is where the cabinets meet the fridge. It could definitely look like that irl but I think adding a small section there could help the viewer understand the shape of the room a bit more. Overall your design looks good and you have great line quality here 👍

I drew 6 of these before watching the demo/critique and 3 after (so far) I think I can definitely level some critique at them myself. Before watching the demo, I was trying to exaggerate the gesture rather than emphasize it, which made for some slightly more extreme poses but less interesting shapes. As well, I can definitely still see that my line quality is lacking - Stan's sketch lines look confident and intentional, mine still feel messy. Though I tried to be aware of this drawing after the demo, and do think there's improvement. Any other advice/critique gratefully received!
