The shading is super chunky, but I feel like I'm getting to understand the underlying forms

Even though they're just clumps of dark lines, I feel like the eyelashes are surprisingly difficult to get looking nice. Perhaps my lines aren't fine enough.

It's tricky! I often feel like I don't have enough space for the jaw.

Nine from imagination and nine referring to the 3D model. Low angles are very difficult, I think I might be drawing the front of the face too long.

Some front view Loomis heads. I'm finding the jaw angles especially tricky when the face is tilted downwards.

Here are a few Loomis heads I did based on some references. Low angles are really hard! I find that in general I struggle with figuring out where the side oval goes. I found it helped a bit to think of the head like a box and sketch in the brow line and brow-to-ear angle first, so I could figure out where the side of the head begins.
