Here is another master study I tried after learning of the work of Sorie Kim on this forum. Really interesting stuff.
Really good! You you caught the essence of Sorie Kim’s drawing.
If you want to improve any further, you should look for region with even thicker lines and maybe some more form describing lines.

This is my study of a Dave Malan drawing. I wasn't familiar with him but seemed to have a strong focus on line work.

First attempt at line weight organization, first based on importance and second based on light/shadow. I tried to vary line thickness but looking at the pics, I think I could have made the differences more pronounced.

I wanted to help you with your drawings. No offence to everyone else, but us hairless guys have to stick together :D
So, you did pretty good overall, but I want to remind you to use TAPERED LINES when doing both thick and thin lines. Also, when showing lighting in a line drawing, you must thicken the lines that turn away from the light. Sometimes the reference can confuse us, but we want to use logic and keep the lines in the light thin, and those turning away dark.
I did a quick sketch over your drawings that I hope will help you and anyone else who's watching :)

Ended up simplifying the laces to a single C or S with a C eyelet. Like the rhythm that can come from those lines. Kept the snail shell hard with straight I lines and let the snail take the organic S and C.

Here are my level 1 drawings. I, too, fell into the boot lace trap. Will be curious to see how Stan handles that. Will give level 2 a go tomorrow.

My coffee mug. Tried to limit myself to 30min but went 45. Feel like I'm having trouble showing volume. Hopefully will come with practice...
