My name is Skully. I am Skelly’s evil step-twin. I actually don’t understand how it is possible to be a ‘step’ twin – but I am. My skull is elongated because I am part extraterrestrial. I do have an evil power. I can melt things with my eyes. Well, not actually my eyes – because I don’t have eyes. I can melt things with my eye sockets. I have EVIL EYE SOCKET MELTING POWER! To tell the truth – my melting ability is not that great. I can really only melt things like cheese or ice cubes (it takes a long time to melt an ice cube though). But I can make great grilled cheese sandwiches. And I can also melt butter onto toast if you would like some. This guy Mike did this pastel portrait of me. Mike was a student of Stan's some years ago. Although Stan may not want to admit it after seeing this drawing that Mike did...

So, thought I'd do a study to get familiar with the finer intricacies of the skull before detailing my painting...but I ended up adding glowing eyes for lols, and the study turned into a painting of it's own, so I guess I'll end up with 2 entries. Still working on the first painting. Made in Corel Painter with a Huion Inspiroy 1060P.

Great tutorial. I loved seeing your brush economy.
Hi, this is my last minute submission, the flying florest guardian, S.A.R.U. mk.III ! :P
The main idea behind the design is a tree climbing scout for deep forest biomas, used by researchers to monitor and even collect material very quickly! Sun and wind powered!

Nice pose and design of shadows. If it were mine, I'd just make that left ankle and left forearm a bit thinner and define the toe shape a bit on the right foot.
This was immensely fun to do. My idea was kind an unholy union with a hermit crab and a grasshopper.

Myself from 20 years in the future. I figure you can always learn a lot from the works and words of lots of artists. However, the one person that could help me become the best artist version of myself is the future me.

A concept artist for the gaming industry, where I get to see my creations brought to life or an illustrator for cards like MTG.
This was a pleasure to watch. Beautiful art and intelligent commentary.
There were some good lols in this episode. Thanks gents :)

I wanted to go for a much more horror oriented image than I'm used to doing. This one came to me quite quickly after reading the brief and I tried out a bunch of things that I've wanted to do for a while now.

I saw this challenge in my email newsletter on the 8th, but I've had such a busy month. Yesterday I finally got a gap, so thought I'm going to start on this challenge, thinking the end date was near the end of the month, like the prev ones. Came here to check the brief and I see entry period is over already. Such a pity.
Interesting discussion. In my humble opinion, there isn't too much art, but rather too much art being presented. I think it's great to use art as therapy and personal pleasure, but if you aren't trying to get hired for commissions, you don't need to post it on social media and portfolio sites. Too much casual art is flooding the market online and making it difficult for those of us who are trying to make a living, actually get seen.

Asked for help
Hi, I'm a South African illustrator hoping to get into either the gaming, or book cover industry, but honestly any work is appreciated. South Africa has little to no opportunities, so I rely on overseas commissions and contracts.
I've attached some of my work, but you can see more here:

I humbly appreciate your time and advice.

I posted my info here yesterday in the hopes of getting a review, but my comment was immediately hidden by a bot "for spam". I'm guessing it didn't like the link to my ArtStation portfolio. I did open a dispute, but I guess moderators don't work on Sundays so if it ever gets unhidden, it will sadly be too late for that review.
Your bot is a real jerk. Just saying.
