I did these thumbnails on my iPad using procreate. I rarely do landscapes so this was a nice change for me. I only used a hard round brush and a flat brush for the smudge tool. These photos were all taken by me just using my phone at some point during these last few months. I even took one of them through the car window on my way to my high school. My main goal with these was to use very simple strokes and to keep it simple. At some points I had a little trouble not going in to too much detail because I normally do character art and portraits which require very fine details, but I hope I was successful. I don’t really ever paint, digital or traditional but this was a lot of fun.

Do you prefer using more saturated or desaturated color when it comes to realism, i’ve seen very realistic portraits in gray scale but also in very bright neons and just very saturated colors in general, so what do you prefer using?
