Asked for help
I recently began to make my first comic, but I feel really clueless in 2 aspects, 1. in the first post I had to make really small characters, specifically background characters in a crowd, I was debating wheter or not they should look human since I don't want them to be the focus. and when I decided I do want them to be detailed, they were so small that I could barely make them feel like real humans. 2. in the second post I made a background, but I don't feel happy with it since it doesn't really feel like a real place within the page, which i have trouble with. I have the most trouble with how to underrender stuff like people and backgrounds , so if anyone could help me with suggestions it is really apreciated thanks!!

the shadows are nicely in place and feel real, but it needs more contrast, for example by making some darker. but really nicely done! you can really see that she is a real human being! (by which I mean that you could feel like the drawing was alive)

these are amazing and I think you really captured their essence, they feel very lifelike because of their great expressions, (especially the second and fourth). if for advice, i'd render out the fourths hair more with hairwaves like in the third. to give that hair shape more depth.

I really like the head and how you build up that head with all the shapes and lines. I'd say the right eye is too big, or the left eye too small. depends on what level you want your drawing to be more cartoony. Also i'm not quite sure, but I feel like her ear is little bit lengthy? BUT besides my personal nitpicks I love the attention to detail, the part around the mouth feels very tangible and real. and you really feel the depth around the eyes!
