Hey everyone, here is my attempt for the level 1 project. The one on the right was my first attempt without looking at the solution video. The one on the left is when I tried to follow Stan's tutorial.

at first i wasn't going to do this project as i very much consider myself a beginner and was sticking to the level 1 projects but after watching Stan's imagination cramps video i felt inspired to step out of my comfort zone and stretch the observation/imagination muscle! it took about 2-3 hours but i'm glad i pushed myself! i would love some critique on my little axolotl! im still trying to understand how to properly implement line weight and the perspective of the chin was a challenge for me. anyways, would love to hear your thoughts! thank you :)

This looks great. I'm a beginner too! Looking forward to seeing more of your work. Critique: I like how the creature's left arm is opposite of its other arm. It gives it the illusion that it's floating on your page. I also like how you gave it a friendly vibe by giving it a smile. Keep working on your overlapping and foreshortening skills. And you're right the only way to improve is just to go for it!

Greetings, everyone! Here are my three pear drawings. I kindly request your critique on them.

Wow. I feel like I'm looking at progression drawings.(I'm a newbie sorry if some of my terminology is off) Did you do all of these during the same day? Pear 1 - You did a good job capturing the shape of the pear but it doesn't look three dimensional. I think its because of the shading. The shading did not gradually bleed into light to dark. You capture the shading better in the last two drawings pear 2 and pear 3. I also liked how your pair is off centered. It makes the composition of the drawing more interesting. Good luck on your art journey.

I did a study of this cool art from Luiz Oblea i found on artstation. For me its a win just that i actually could draw a bit at all after a long time worsened in my illness. It was fun :)
