I think they all look good except the last pelvis may have too much of an anterior tilt, she looks a little more upright than yours, but NOT by much.

I see where you're coming from!I tried to exaggerate the form but I guess I might have went overboard. Thank you for the feedback!

Not sure completely, but I feel that with the ladies you give them a bottom part that is about twice as thick as their chest (no breasts included). I think that in this model the width of the back and the width of the pelvis area (not adding too much of the buttocks yet) is nearly the same. The waist is thinner.

Thank you for the feedback! So I guess I need to make my drawings more proportionally accurate? I guess since Stan said in the tutorial videos that "The pelvis on a female model is wider than the males" I took that advice and ran with it. I felt like I needed to properly display the difference in models, but I went overboard. I will try and draw the proportions more accurate to the reference itself!

These are actually pretty good. The one thing you need to pay attention to is how wide some of the planes are, in particular with the pelvis. Also, make sure you are accounting for the tilts forward or backwards of the torso. I did some sketches to show you what I mean, I hope it helps :)

Thank you so much! I think that is what has felt “wrong” for me! I felt like I wasn’t fully capturing the forms and now I can see why, i appreciate it!

Hello, I’ve been doing some robo beans and I need feedback. They just don’t feel right to me. I’m mostly concerned about the angles of my pelvises, are they correct? Should I exaggerate these forms more? Is the perspectives of the boxes correct? Feedback is definitely appreciated!

Hello! I recently got a drawing tablet and did the landmarks assignment in the figure drawing course. i only focused on the landmarks themselves and didn’t bother with anatomy since this is a figure drawing course. Could I get feedback on my landmark placements?
Steve Lenze
Hey michaelbrixx, I did some quick sketches to show you some of the things that I noticed in your drawings. Mostly, you need to focus on the corners and structure of your ribcage and pelvis. I hope this is helpful :)

Thank you! I focused to hard on making ny drawings look exactly like the references! I have moved on to the robo bean to learn more about the structure of the pelvis and torso, I’m hoping my errors here will be improved with the knowledge I will learn in this next lesson, thank you for the feedback, I’ll be back for more drawings soon!

Hi! These are some of my attempts on the landmark assignment. I posted on here before, but didn’t get any feedback. I’m hoping to get some this time! I feel I struggle with capturing the subtleties of the figure, I’m hoping the other lessons in this course will help improve my structure!
@michaelbrixx
Also sorry for the image quality I’m not sure why the images deteriorate like that.

Hi!, started the landmarks lesson and did some drawings. The back is difficult and I’m still not 100% on my placements of my landamarks. Also my proportions are definitely not the best but I’m trying to get better at them! I only really did the landmarks so sorry for the lack of anatomy (also this isn’t an anatomy course so…) anyways critiques and feedback is appreciated!

Hello! These are my last set of animal drawings! Feedback is appreciated!

Hi @michaelbrixx, nice studies! My favorite is the bear; I think you really managed to capture the form with those crosscontours. I'll do my best to help you further: - I would be interesting to see you fill a page with boxes, and a page of cylinders, drawn in different angles and from imagination. I have a feeling you would benefit from working on those. The more intuitively you know the building blocks, the more effortlessly you'll be able to build a creature with them. Feel free to tag me (@Jesper Axelsson ) when you post them. - One thing I found really tricky in this exercise, was to draw the joints. The connections between the major forms felt so complex, and it had to be done with the gesture maintained. It has helped me to leave out the joints at the start, and just place out the major forms. You might appreciate following this process: 1. draw the gesture (as if it was a river flowing through the body (look at how Glenn Vilppu does it at 21:00 in this Drawing Demo by Glenn Vilppu ) ) 2. then stack the forms on top. If drawing an animal feels too complex, you could just practice stacking forms on top of a random gesture line. - One thing I've found helpful when drawing form, is to try to feel the form. Similar to how you try to feel the pose in a gesture drawing, as if you were striking it yourself. I like to imagine touching the forms, just to help my brain realize that what I'm trying to draw has dimension. Also try to feel what's on the non visible side of the subject, and draw through (lightly) as if the subject was made out of glass. Drawing through is a great way to keep your constructions in check. Hope this helps :) Keep up the good work!

Hello! I’m on the animals lesson! These are some of my first drawings! I already know I need to work on my lines that wrap around my cylinders, it’s really hard to get them right though! This lesson is really difficult, but practice is required to get better! Feedback is appreciated. My proportions are quite off too, I apologize!
Steve Lenze
Hey michaelbrixx, I agree, the drawings are kind of light, but I can see that you are indeed looking for the essence of the pose. We call that gesture: it tells the "story" of the pose. I think you would benefit from drawing larger and using your whole arm to draw, not just your wrist. This will help you to create some nice flowing gesture lines. I took one of your drawings and did a quick gesture/structural drawing over it to show you what you are aiming for. I hope this helps :)

good to see you've started the figure drawing course! I've took that one to. For me, it's a bit hard to see what is going on in your sketches, they are very light. Might i suggest using a darker/ softer pencil?

Hello! I recently just started the figure drawing course! I have been struggling as this is all new to me, feedback would be appreciated! I have no anatomy knowledge, so I tried to capture the move to and essence of the pose instead. Wish me luck moving forward!
