added comment inHow to Draw Gesture – Step by Step

I’m not really sure if I’m on the right track with these poses. I think I focused a bit too much on form rather than gesture, even though I tried to limit the number of lines to what was necessary to tell the story.

These look good to me. Everyone does gesture a little differently, but throwing wrapping lines on gesture is a good way to define form quickly. In that way, gesture is not incompatible with structure. If you look at Michael Hampton's gestures, he does the same thing. If you want to loosen up a bit more, just time yourself with 30 to 60 second gestures, then after you have a few under your belt, increase the time. I think these are great, though. You're on your way.

I’ve been practicing a bit on gesture, but I can’t tell if I’m on the right track in terms of hitting a strong pose. The lower left pose is definitely the worst one overall, and the one on top of it I think is off balanced. I’ll probably start using more dynamic/variety of poses too.
