Oh gosh, I’ve fallen off the Proko lessons train. Lots of excuses and lack of motivation. Must kick myself into gear.
Thank you for spending so much time with the critiques. It was interesting to see others work and hear your input.

When you can't decide on Level 1 or Level 2.
I thought it might be fun to try it on gray paper.
Everyone's work is inspiring! Happy to be learning with you all!

Here is Project One. I start this course with an injured dominant elbow, so this drawing is done with my non-dominant (right) hand. I got the idea from Professor P. I hope that I have my left hand back soon.

Thanks Proko, this was great, I wanna try them all. Instead of a razor blade I use a skinny box cutter. It holds a long skinny blade with grooves. When it gets dull you just snap off a piece with a pair of pliers and you've got a new sharp blade. You can do that for a long time before you get to the end and have to put a new blade in. Plus the wheel loosens or tightens the blade so you can safely move the blade back into yellow the casing when you are not using it. I also tape the blades before trashing them. Hope this helps, happy drawing!

And works well for those with wrist strength and control issues, easier to hold than just a razor

I’m a beginner and I just sharpened my stylus. Wait for it…..no I didn’t

Cool, but the course itself could already start, we don't need another week to absorb information about pencils :))

And…. I can always continue drawing as I have and strengthen my bad habits… really wanting to actually begin

I hoard art supplies more than use them. Hoping to turn that around with this class and a daily habit of having fun while making art. This was relaxing and enjoyable, which I need to remind myself art as a hobby is supposed to be. Looking forward to the basics course!

Oh, I understand. I gather all the supplies I can. I get the best I can afford. Now I better start using them!

Hi all, I'm really excited about this. I hope I'm not the only "oldie" here. I'm 50yo, working as a nurse, have been drawing a lot in my teens and then stopped completely. I started again about 6 years ago but never had any training like this. However intuition only takes you so far, so I have been looking for a way to learn basic skills for some time. And here it is!
I really hope I can keep up with the lessons as they come along ...

I’m a retired nurse with lots of left brain activities. Will be nice to engage that right brain.
I have used YouTube for tutorials but that is hit or miss. Found it hard to find chronological lesson plans. This Proko class seems to be just the thing for me to build a base of knowledge. I’m hesitant about the critiques but it does provide the structure to understand strengths and weaknesses.
hope to “see” your work throughout the course

This seems like a great thing to do Mr.Propopenko! I'd also suggest you take a look ate the DrawABox course since it is heavily focused on the absolute basics. I'd go as far to suggest it for those without money.

I had such a hard time understanding DrawABox, hope presale course “speaks” to me.

Will this focus only on figure drawing or include landscape and still life?
