This excercise is really fun (but humbling)! I started off doing all photos for level 1. Afterwards I tried some lvl 2 excersices. I think I mainly struggle with proportions now. I will finish all level 2 soon.

Damn, this is a fun but difficult project. I notice that if I try to connect two dots from a huge distance, the line tends to curve so the angles don't align properly most of the time. I also tend to draw lines in parallel with each other when the difference in the angles is small. I also somehow decided to extrude the Ikea Kallax inward, which made me feel stupid when I noticed. I will make more of these, so any feedback is much appreciated! :)

I did the same thing with a door on one of mine that you did with the Kallax. Its easy to get twisted up on this stuff. Its easy once you have the first correct line down but its also easy to not put that line down correctly if that makes sense. Looks awesome though. I especially like peaking into the other room on the left. Really nice.

I have completed about 170 figure drawings in the past 2 weeks to start getting consistent in drawing again. These are some of the latest ones. Even though it was a very painful experience and I am not really satisfied with my drawings, I cannot deny the huge improvements compared to two weeks ago. It also felt kind of meditative and I did have a lot of fun finding the rhythms. Any feedback is much appreciated! :)

I am continuing my challenge to do 15 figure drawings a day for two weeks. It is getting more painful and difficult. I think because I get better at seeing my mistakes. These are some of the drawings from day 9. Proportions are still difficult for me but I hope the rythms are clear. What do you guys think?

I feel you, I am running into the same. The more painful and difficult it gets, the more I can see my mistakes ....which generates more frustration because even though see that it's "wrong" I can put the "right" line down

Hello! I joined this course about 2 years ago but stopped drawing after half a year. Since last month, I'm trying to get back at it again. Now I have challenged myself to make 15 gesture/figure drawings a day for 2 weeks. Mostly because I think this excercise is great for recieving fast feedback on line quality and proportions, but also because I think it is fun. From day 1 till 3 I tried to remember everything I learned and started experimenting with different ways I could simplify gestures. At day 4 I watched the rythms tutorial and I think it shows in the drawings. I already feel more confident in my lines, but proportions are still really hard. I am going to continue this excercise for another 10 days. Are there any specific things I need to keep in mind while doing this or should I just continue the way I'm going and look at what the results say? Thanks! :)

These are my attempts before watching the demo. I notice that when I have to draw something detailed and complicated such as laces, I stop trying to be accurate. I have to work on that.

After drawing 9 pears I wanted to try something different. I definitely was not ready for this but I had fun anyways.
@loghserk
Here are my pears before and after watching the demo. I think you can see which one is which.

2nd one after

These are my first attempts at simplifying the pears. I will buy a sketchbook and pencils tomorrow and try again before watching the demo. I found it dificult to make clear distinctions between shades and to keep them consistent. Tomorrow I will experiment some more with different pencils to improve on that.
