Here's my assignment, turned out it was more challenging than I though it would be! definitely felt more confortable after the twentieth seal... but good practice exercice... I feel like I will come back to it :) the last page is Level 2, from imagination, which could use some improvement...

Wow, this exercise was very enlightening... Drawing from fantasy is so much more difficult - well, practice practice practice is the motto:-)

I did a second go on this Jess Carp image. This time i eye globed the proportions in the beginning instead of measuring.eye globing works better for me. After that i focused alot on the gesture of the lines and how they connect/aline. Took me 4 h 10 min instead of 6+ h the first time. Next thing i might do is to draw it from memory. Just to establish using this kind of lines and techique on my own.

oh my! My favorite assignment! So, I'm a huge fan of the manga D.Gray-man by Katsura Hoshino and I looove Hoshino's style! it evolved through the duration of the series but I always loved it especially her earlier drawings... So here are three copies/studies I did from her art, the last one I did using pencils and then I scaned it and made it bigger using a light table to put it in color using COpic markers... It clearly was a study on using markers and I've learned so much and enjoyed it a lot!

Here's my assignment, for the third one I tried to imagine the light coming straight from above the rhino... Used the same basic HB pencil for all of it,

Very nice line weights

Had a rough time getting into this. However, I found great inspiration from previous student projects below and finally got in the zone and enjoyed the process. Took inspiration from Franklin Booth and Bernie Wrightson for the clouds, simple yet effective! I could've made the buildings more gestural, might give it another go before moving on to the treehouse.
