Had so much fun with these, it's probably been my favourite project so far.
@landsloth
Took a lot longer than I would have like with this. Plum lines still confuse me a bit so I used the eye to pencil method for most of it. I was genuinely shocked how accurate I’d managed to get some of it when showing the reference underneath, but then equally  as unsurprised when I saw a lot more of it wasn’t accurate. I enjoyed doing this even though it was a tough challenge, just need to continue practicing.

Had fun doing a few of these the other day. Posted the ones I'm happiest with (forgot to save the ref pictures)

This was really tough but I had fun doing it. Learnt a lot looking at and trying to replicate each artist's line work. Cannot wait to learn anatomy and perspective haha Artist/Writers respectfully: Kaiju No. 8: Naoya Matsumoto. Something is Killing the Children: James Tynion IV. Werther Dell'Edera, Giovanna Niro. Nevermore: Kit Trace and Kate Flynn.
Stephen Clark
These are some solid and diverse choices! Something Is Killing the Children is a great choice of study. There's a lot of variation in there as they go between different scene types. Well done!

Tried to create light and shadow with a leopard shark

Had a lot of fun doing this!

Another attempt but with a different subject and using a charcoal brush. My death grip on the pen is loosening with every practice.
@landsloth
My 3rd attempt. Switching to a marker pen really helped me keep things looser. I’m definitely the happiest with this one.
@landsloth
First attempt was on my own and then the second was after the demo. I definitely loosened up and had more flow in the second attempt and I'm much happier with it (ignoring the feet). I think I managed to capture the shape of the forms a lot better. I really struggle with keeping my brain on flow and looseness rather than detail and precision when sketching so this exercise is definitely something to practice a lot.

Pretty proud of this
