Doing some Loomis method practice in between lessons... First ones are this morning. Second this afternoon after some practice
Kzip
Line weight and lightvshadow. Maybe didn't commit as much as I should or could. Not unhappy. Value is really hard for me - maybe hard for beginners period? Have to keep practicing and get my eye in.

Still pretty happy with this fledgling attempts. Excited to learn more and improve.

Good job Kzip!

Hahaha Wow, hands are hard. Repost - I fixed the thumb. Pinky side is still a be wonky.

I am pretty okay with this little guy. I know I was moving my whole arm cause my shoulder is tired. haha And I could definitely tell when I did 't move my arm, the sketching tightened up. He's a but shorter and squatter than the original, but that's just lack of confidence in longer lines.

This is a pretty solid one for an early project! While you're right that the dude is a little shorter than the reference, it still feels pretty good! Reading your post with it, I think you know that some proportion work and line quality practice would be a good idea. But you're doing really well here and in the others you posted recently, Kzip! I look forward to seeing you post some more and you work through the lessons 💪

I'm trying. I'm trying to draw.

Before demo and after. Whew. I tried to go too detailed which, obviously, I'm not ready for, and proportions where wonky, but not totally unhappy with thr original contour. Definitely improved after watching the demo. Trying to do too much too fast.

Before and after demo.

Nice job on including an actual dark value. We can get scared to do it but that's so important to communicating a rounded form or a plane change.

Before watching the demo. Never drawn a day in my life, unless doodling while bored in class counts. Didn't quite hit the assignment bullet points (after watching demo) but just happy with the outcome anyway.
