added comment inProject - Cross Contour on Ginger Root People

I wasn’t really happy with my first attempt so I tried again. This time I focused more on making interesting ginger root people than fitting them in a scene. I think these came out much better.

It was a lot of fun to try different poses and create a scene with the ginger root people. I did struggle with coming up with different body types so I feel they all look similar. I did smudge the drawing when trying to add details and contour to the tree, which was unfortunate. Also why is drawing a tree so hard 😂

This project was so fun. I love the way the cross contours give the forms volume.

This method of constructing cubes in perspective has been my favorite! It’s very intuitive and easy to visualize the box I want to create before constructing it. I decided to do level 2 also and it was weird to start but using a line of action really helped making the boxes more dynamic.

This was a very interesting assignment. Sometimes using the Y method made deciding the orientation super easily but others I couldn’t wrap my head around which corner would be the Y. I also put gaps between each cube which I see now was different than the instructions. Overall though I’m happy that my shapes resemble hands somewhat 😂

This was a fun project! I liked being able to quickly iterate with different angled boxes to get a better perspective.

This project was a struggle, I never felt like my rhythms felt fluid and were stiff. I’m sure doing a lot of them would help but I’m not feeling motivated to. I’ll definitely come back to these at some point since I’m really interested in figure drawing!

I did another page from reference and decided to try level 2. I really liked the dynamic gestures I was able to give them from imagination. Studying the reference and drawing the gesture lines really helped imagining my own seal poses.

This was so much fun! All I want to do now is draw more goofy seals. I did forget to draw the gesture lines sometimes but I always tried to make my shapes dynamic.
