Hi all, tried to get the placement of the hand bones right, I am having trouble finding the placement of the condyles of the humerus and thus finding the position of the radius and ulna especially in pronation, can someone help me with that? Thanks!

Tried out some references before watching the next video. Any advice on what I should improve?

These are nice, I think you should simplify gesture more, and work on C -curves, S curves, and straights like Stan talks about in his videos. In the beginning you can go slow, and maybe use plumb lines to keep the gesture within boundaries of the pose. Proportions are off in some of them, you can try the eight head approach for a figure. In the beginning, start with an oval for the head, a curve for the neck, followed by the angle for the shoulders(clavicle), center line from sternum to the crotch(you can use plumb line here to estimate where the crotch is compared to the head), drop a curve from neck to the hips then draw c curves/ s curves for the hands and the legs. It is important to go slow, very slow, and understand the pose that you are drawing.

Hi Lane! Can you talk about handling the apple pencil like a traditional tool, generally but especially for your charcoal brush set. Do you think it would be a good idea to have two pencil options in Procreate and a quick gesture shortcut to switch between a hard edge and a soft edge pencil?

Asked for help
Hello, I'm currently studying the Figure Drawing Fundamentals course. I'm aiming to do gesture exercises as a warm up before study sessions. I still find gesture quite difficult to grasp. I often run out of time or I get too hasty and feel like I could have used my time more carefully. Proportion feels very challenging. I'm not sure how I could become better at it. It feels quite difficult to focus in general, there are so many concepts to keep in mind. I'm posting some 2 minute poses from today as my first test post. I'm very excited about Proko 2.0! I hope to learn to use this website quickly. I'm very grateful for any critique.

These dont look bad at all! Ideally when studying gesture you should not worry about proportions, the idea is to get fluid C-S-I curves on the page. Proportions will slowly happen, they are separate things.
