Oh wow yea i can see a huge improvement just in the shape of of the pear. The shading got a lot better as well. I think my first time shading i just went all kinds of directions. I think with the clear separation of the shading it came out a lot better. The left one i did before watching the demo and the right one is after watching the demo.

Here is my pear. I have a long way to go but if i have to identify my mistakes or things i could improve on, i would say identifying the edges more and shapes i think and the values.
