This is my first time doing a dedicated art course outside of a few YouTube videos, so forgive my dreadful drawing. I drew the snail around 6-7 times, and I suppose this is the best I could manage. Still, I kept the CSI lesson in mind when drawing, but I know it is still a very rough drawing (to say the least lol). Any suggestions on how to improve would be appreciated.

Hey there, welcome to the course! Good work thinking about simplification, though I would recommend going back a tad less simple to get more of the smaller curves and details in the contour, rather than looking at the big shapes of the snail overall. It can definitely help to have a very light sketch of the overall big shapes first, but as a guide to help you place the CSI lines for the outline on top in a darker line. Finding more straight lines can also help define sharper edges and turns within the drawing and can be easier to place in correct position.
