Thank you for the demo of level 2 improve my design from creepy to pretty. The whole design thing scared the shit out of me. The demo definitely provide some guide for my drawing. first four are before. the latter are after.

Hello everyone!
I just wanted to share a quick thought I had on finding new shapes. This worked especially well whenever I felt stuck or uninspired.
All I did was find small nooks in my sketchbook (spaces that resulted between drawings) and I tried to fill those with a design. Most of the time, these empty nooks had such a random shape that the results ended up being quite interesting (like in the example below with a horizontally stretched triangle for a monkey head).
I know this idea is nothing revolutionary, but for me, it’s a good one to keep in the back of the mind when doing these exercises.
Also, thanks for the demos! These really help a lot!

Redid my pear again after watching the critiques. I made sure to pay attention to the shadows and make them dark enough and give enough space for the lights to have variation

Well, I didn't think I was going to try Level 2 project. I struggle with fear of failure. But thankfully we have Proko! I have a lot to work on and to improve, but overall I am surprised with the results. I am reading 'The Practicing Stoic' by Farnsworth and central to the theory is that we react to our judgements and opinions not the the things themselves. So today, I am choosing to react not to my self-criticism but to the feeling of accomplishment for attempting Level 2 project.
Have a great day!

Love the drawing!! Because you mentioned the "Practicing Stoic" I want to recommend "The Practicing Mind" by Thomas M. Sterner, it really helped me!
