I'm in a similar situation, looking forward to seeing your progress! I'm doing the Drawing Basics course now, and seen significant improvements in my ability; I'm also doing DrawABox on the side as well. Good luck in your drawing journey! :)

Week 39: I deviate a bit from the drawabox lessons. I've created more structural studies from animals but i tried to apply the critique i've received from @Liandro. What do you guys think? This was also the last week of the unit, so i have to pick another one for next week. I've never studied renderling and light/ shadows yet, so i might pick a unit about this subject.

Week 38: i've combined the drawabox approach of drawing animals with Stan's Structure Basics – Making Things Look 3D lesson. (the last one suggested by @Liandro ) Drawing animals with 3d shapes, but i've used a fineliner and ink to draw them. For the fun side, i did an Aaron Blaise study of this coyote.

I agree with @elkad . I also followed courses from Stan before (figure drawing and portrait drawing) and Stan is an excellent teacher. The basics course is not fully published yet, every week there are video's being added to it. But it will be very in-depth, because there are already more than 40 video's published and we only covered topics on drawing materials and line. So for the quality and quantity you get i think the price is cheap, especially when you compare it to traditional art school. As Elkad mentioned there are also a ton of free resources available. One resource i would use next to the basics course is drawabox.com. It's less fun than the basics course and has a more drill-sergeant approach, but you'll learn a lot. I also use this reddit drawing curriculum: https://www.reddit.com/r/learnart/comments/dapk62/from_the_guy_who_made_the_most_comprehensive_list which has a ton of (free) resources.

week 37: I've finished the 250 cylinder challenge of drawabox! Also started lesson 5: drawing animals. Included my first attempts. For fun, i've colorized one of my drawings from the inking unit and drew a sea turtle in traditional media (markers, fineliners, white colored pencil). What do you guys think?

Week 36: i've continued the cylinder challenge of drawabox.com. 245 cylinders in, so i'm almost done! I've also continued the basics course from Stan, where we did master studies where we studied line, which was very fun.

A nice part of this exercise is that when you scroll through the submissions, you get to know a lot of artist that you didn't know before. I did some studies from various artists: -Aaron Blaise -JP Ahonen -Babs Tarr -Al Hirschfeld -Heinrich Kley -Picasso

week 35: Start of a new unit. I've decided to continue with the drawabox.com exercises. First i will be finishing the 250 cylinder challenge, which i've previously started. It is still a very hard challenge to draw these boxes and cylinders with a pen free hand. For the fun side i cartoonized a bunch of people from reference. I've tried to add some shadows and highlights from imagination, but it doesnt seem quite right? Maybe someone has some good tips on that?

Week 4 in the inking unit. Also a slow week. But i've managed to spent time in procreate. Attached a character that i've inked several times with different brushes and approaches.

I've skipped a week in my updates where i wasn't able to draw much due to work related stuff. But i'm picking up again. This week was the 3th week of the inking unit. I cartoonized mostly photos of people posted in the "Reddit gets drawn" community. I tried different brushes and styles in procreate.

Week 32: The second week of my own inking unit. This week i've worked mostly digital. I've explored different inking brushes in procreate. Some of the brushes are standard brushes that can be found in procreate, but in the past i've also purchased a comic brush pack from Ittai Manero which i also used. This week another lesson was published in Stan's beginner course about line-weight, which would fit perfectly in this learning unit. Also continued reading in the "the art of comic book inking"  book.

Week 31: started with the self-introduced inking unit in the curriculum. To start, i've created an illustration of a "pastel goth" style creature in Procreate that i tried to ink digitally. The rest of the week i used traditional drawing materials to explore. I've sketched out a bunch of simple cartoon faces and tried to ink them. Using mostly a brush pen and a copic marker with a brush nib. The brush marker is hard to control, but the copic marker is my favorite. For fun I also drew a portrait this week. Also started to read the "the art of comic book inking" as recommended by @Liandro

Week 30: i've missed two days where i wasn't able to draw. However, i did a fair amount of gesture drawings. I also continued to work on the reddit gets drawn community where i tried to cartoonize a bunch of people :) Also thanks to @prymitywizm @Danet @kotka and @Liandro for giving me great feedback and tips to keep me motivated. Included a selection of work i did this week. Next week i start my own unit that isn't in the curriculum: inking where i use the resources that Liandro described over here: https://www.proko.com/community/topics/resources-about-digital-inking
