My submission for the October proko challenge
Hop you enjoy it :)
My submission for the Halloween proko challenge
"Looking Up"
Graphite on toned paper
Really enjoyed the challenge:)
It's a great piece
The only thing I would say is that the white horse somewhat feels disconnected from the other ones
The main reason for that is the reflected light on it
Your reflected light is blue whereas there is no blue colored surface near him, and I dont see any brown light getting reflected from the other horses onto the white horse
Take care of that next time
Otherwise I like it

Hi everybody,
Did this one with charcoal on wood
Let me know what you think:)
Hi Rayan,
I have done a charcoal drawing of the same pose that you might wanna check out in my album,
The thing I wanted to mention was that dont just copy the shadows but actually understand them
Ask yourself why the shadow is that way, what would happen to it if we change the light source's position and other things like that
Look for how the form of the body changes, how that affects the values, etc
Thinking of it in this ways will improve your art a million times faster
Hope that helps.

2022/7/14. Hi everybody. Here's my new illustration for a trading card game. The subject is a Viking Princess. Thanks for any comment or critique. Good night.

Dont you think that if she's illuminated from the fire (behind her), her front body should be in shadow
Otherwise the piece is a great.

Anything I must improve on?
1yr
Maybe if you practiced with a pose much three dimensionality to it, it would be a better exercise
Like this side view doesn't actually account perspective to your practice than it should
Just a thought.

Did these monkey drawings as a part of the 90 mac studies hosted by Bobby Chiu on YouTube
Any critiques will be appreciated

2022/7/5. Good morning everybody. Here’s my warming up exercise to start the practice day. I really have to fix this bad habit to stretch vertically the figure. Thanks for any comment or advice.
1yr
That's probably because you dont look at the page directly from the above, Try to fit the page or whatever you are drawing on on an inclined stand so that your view is perpendicular to the surface

I'm confused about the front plane in this image. it's completely off the model. the 10th rib is one of the landmarks, and this is very off the landmark. Is this drawn like this to avoid the boxes becoming a trapezoid prism shape?
1yr
Well, this model's figure is much more hourglass shaped and so the boxes have to be trapezoids to account for the body shape

The gestures are good but I think you should start looking at figures more in 3d than just 2d photographs
For example in the 7th photo, Veronica's left leg is actually in front of her right leg, as in your drawing it seems behind, thus looking unnatural.
I'm not saying that you draw the whole but just indicate it with a cylinder or a box whichever you may like (I personally use the cylinder as it is anatomically more correct)
Other than that these look great
Nice work!

One thing I noticed is that the shapes are not actually in perspective
I think you should start practicing drawing boxes, cylinders and eggs alone from different angles
And then instead of copying it on the figure I suggest you draw the rib cage and pelvis beside the figure and then superimpose them to see how much you are right
Hope that helps

Well I think you should imagine this in 3d, as if there is a real head in front of you
Like how the eyes are fitted deep inside the socket
The cheekbones protruding
And other things, if you could do that the results will be much more better as you now actually understand how shapes interact with space
Hope that helps

"Final" piece... although there are still some parts that need work, I felt like it's time to move on to another work. In the end I had to ask "Did I capture the emotion?", because that's why I started this one.
With that being said, any feedback would still be appreciated.
1yr
The emotions are captured really nicely
The only think I would suggest is adding some anatomy to the neck, not much as you dont have to draw away the attention from the face, but at least some as it looks very unsettling.
