I had a lot of fun with this one. Eyeballing proportions really makes the process less intimidating for me.

This was an interesting challenge. I've always struggled with grids but this time I felt more comfortable with them by not thinking about measuring. However I had a hard time working with the handle of the tool. I was always thrown of by the curve when I had to foreshorten it. Overall I really enjoyed this assignment.

This assignment was a bit difficult but I enjoyed it regardless. I was nervous about free drawing the objects at first but as I tried it, it became less intimidating. While I think I have a decent understanding of the process, I struggled a bit with the more complex shapes, particularly with the hexagons. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Nice work @Jovi Thomas! To find the end point of the inside of the 'O' you can create a box around it and project the shape of the O on the back plane. The box makes a 90 degree angle with the line you drew to mark the end of the projection, so it's pretty easy to find. Then you just trace the inside of the second O!

I had a lot of fun with this assignment. Normally when I draw organic shapes I overthink things, but this method has really helped me in making the process more fun.

This is my attempt with an ink bottle. This exercise was really helpful in getting me to think about perspective more in my drawing. It took a while to get used to the blob method but I'm starting to enjoy it. However, I still struggle with shapes like ellipses.

Your struggle with ellipses will be a thing of the past when you work on them in the future.
I'm pleased to see you working with them enough to discover that an object so simple is, when you take the time to understand it in perspective, truly advanced.
You are working the first stretches of a muscle you'll use like a pro as you continue. Good show Jovi.

Hello,
My name is Jovi and one day I would like to create graphic novels. My big picture goal would be to create a fictional world. I’ve always struggled a lot with perspective particularly with drawing objects and buildings. While I think I understand the basics of perspective its hard to apply them in creating things like settings.
There are a couple of things I want to improve on: Using perspective to create believable locations, learn about Curvilinear Perspective, and drawing objects and people in different angles.
My main influences are artists like Moebius, Katsuhiro Otomo, and Kim Jung Gi among others.
I’m really looking forward to this class!

Nice work @Jovi Thomas! Strong gesture and good structure!
- I think you're making the boxes a little thin
- I would try to show more of the squashing an stretching happening in the fleshy area between the boxes. Emphasize the gesture with a straight on the streched side and a curve on the squashed side.
Hope this helps :)
