Hey epptain, Let me start by saying this is a really good drawing, and a cool design. I personally think he looks pretty tall, and think you handled the perspective pretty well, looking up at him helps sell the fact that he is tall. I do have some nit picky things I wanted to share with you, but these are very subjective, so don't think you have to do it the way I would, or even agree with my notes. I did a quick sketch over your drawing with the few things I thought about the drawing. I hope you can find some of it helpful :)

Hi Steve, Thank you so much for your feedback and sketchovers and I am glad you like the design! Your thoughts on the clothing are a helpful guideline, especially the pants. Making them more "harem" adds clarity to the silhouette too, I think. I like the more confident energy he is showing in your sketches with such little adapation. He is a bit of a careless guy, so his more "sluggishness" in my pose could work as well. I will think about the way I want to present him in this painting and try some things out. Thanks!

Critique request on sketch
Hello, This is a sketch for a "draw this again" project, based on an illustration I did a couple of years back. The old illustration had similar, but badly excecuted perspective. This time I would like to nail the perspective and right proportions correctly before I start colouring. He will stand on a beach, but is this the right horizon from this angle? This half-dragon character is 6,5 feet tall and very skinny. He looks a bit on the short side still, I think. Critique on perspective and proporions is welcome, and any other thoughts too. Thank you very much!

Hi! Wanted to share my progress. These are my 30sec / 2min sheets of last week, when I started this course. I did 10 or 20 of each, every day. I think my 30secs are quite stick-figurey still.

I think the reason youre 30 seks look "stick-figurey" is that you often draw the neck-shoulder line and the pelvis line (dunno how you call that) as a straigt while in reality they are almost always slightly curved. You could also try to youse longer/ viewer lines to discribe your figure. The line that indicates the gesture of the torso for instance can flow in to the leg in some poses. The same line that indcates an arm can also make up the neck-shoulder line and so on and so forth. You could also experiment if exagerating the gesture will give you better results.
