I really like the punk monkey with earring. He for sure took a few drinks while listening to Blink-182 for breakfast

Some days i'm happy with my drawings and some days like today i just want to burn my sketchbook and never touch a pen ever again in my life... (not going to start a fire don't worry ✌️)

I really wanted to draw some animals so i took some drawing ref on Pinterest to study the lines and process. I don't think it qualify as a master study per se but i had fun ✌️

Took a few day break so re-did the animal training. Had fun even tho it was quite complicated for the spider aha

I know, i cheated by not creating my own character but just trying the last exercise with my own images. The drawings are far from perfect but it was fun. Challenging for sure but it taught me to really think if i should use strait lines or curves ones. The final outcome varies a lot depending on that choice :)

Nice work laying out your sketchbook page. Keep making pages like that. Fill it up. The balance of straights and curved lines can have a huge impact on the final drawing. Here is an art tip I made a while back explaining just this-

Here are my attempts. When i first saw the reference images i was really confident i would do this easy but damn it proved me wrong. I struggled quite a bit and i'm not really happy about the result. But still, i feel like it was a great exercice to improve!

Loved the design of the turtle so i drew it too ! looks cool, but i had to redo the belly that was too big in my initial blue sketch. Also had harder time to draw clean confident lines when my pen was too sharp and thin. Much more easier when it was dull, it glide more easily on the paper :)
Stephen Clark
Turned out great, Enzo! I definitely get what you mean about the tool being different to handle when it's sharp versus dull. For a drawing like this, you kind of want it to be a little less than fully sharpened to a point. Helps you to be a little less precious with it.

My camel attempt after watching the demo. I watched it yesterday and i draw the camel the next day from what i learned

Nice exercises! The boots were really hard to do tho. Curious to see what's the way to approach it in the next videos cause
Melanie Scearce
The boots are indeed very challenging, it's a matter of really slowing down and thinking critically when it comes to the laces. I encourage you to give them a go before watching the demo video! I really like your snail drawing, it's super stylish 🐌

Asked for help
Thanks, i't indeed a fun exercice ! I'm just not sure if i'm supposed to train drawing the different orientation or the mushroom with a still paper or am i allowed to move tilt/turn the paper to basically always use the same angle with my hand ? 🤔
Melanie Scearce
When I'm training or drilling a skill I’m in the mindset of moving in the direction of whatever is most challenging so that’s what I would say. Drawing without rotating your paper will help develop your dexterity, but also there’s no rule to say that you can’t rotate it :)
